On this episode, Travis asks Ian Jin Yap to help explore the ways that culture impacts masculinity. Jin identifies as a spiritual being, an artist, and as a student. Growing up in Malaysia has had a major influence on the way he relates to masculinity. Jin shares the challenges of growing up as an artistic boy, the worthlessness he felt being unable to live up to the traditional masculine ideals of his culture, and the spiritual recovery process that supported his healing. He further helps to point out the problems associated with behavior modification in an attempt to fit the narrow lanes of masculinity. Jin's story is powerful, challenging, and inspirational; and, he uses that story to help others return to peace, happiness, and into alignment with their own soul.
