Cameron identifies as Two Spirit, a term that originates from North American indigenous cultures to describe someone who is gender variant, or accessing both masculine and feminine traits. Voices like Cameron's are so vital when discussing what is and is not working about masculinity because of the complexity of their relationship to this topic. Cameron is the embodiment of a soul finding balance between the masculine and feminine energies within them...which is a fundamental quality of The New Masculine. Cameron shares their stories of overcompensation around gender performance, the challenges to finding true-self that were created by sexual abuse trauma, and living in a culture that often rejects and diminishes the feminine. But they don't stop there. They also share how finding safe community and radical self-acceptance has been their path to integration, healing, and transformation. And from that place, they offer to hold space for others in search of healing.
